POLL:(!)(!):Tired of the SEXUAL INNUENDO in pop music targeted at children?

April 72010

"My hand is in the cookie jar" "when i grow up i wanna have boobies"
"lick my lollipop"
There is way too much sexual innuendo aimed at kids! and they cunningly use nursery rhyme lyrics and childhood song rhythms,
Corporate pedophilia has infested our way of life and i think it has to stop.
Not only are kids being told to grow up way too soon but they are being manipulated, Rhianna’s song "Umbrella" was a corporate advertising campaign for ’shimmer’ lip gloss ‘waterproof’ -hence- "umbrella", and Katy Perry’s "I Kissed A Girl" is another commercial for …you guessed it! "Chap-stick".

This corporate manipulation has to stop! music and company motives should not be allowed to mix!

I’d like to hear what you have to say about this,
please state your age group:
<18
18-25
26-35
35-45
46+
and if you are a parent.

What is you’re opinion on this?
great dane: (yeah, right) this is why i asked for age groups, so i could disregard the opinions of soft headed teens, Where is your back bone? have you no individual thought? judging by your cliche’ avi pic i would guess NOT!

18-25. I think that people need to learn how to deal with it. I don’t mean you, but for the kids to not pay any attention to it.
The corporations will never stop, it will only get worse because it makes them money. But if the kids don’t care for it, then the corporations lose.

Hippies/1960’s Sexual Innuendo?

April 52010

I’m looking for song lyrics/titles/sayings from the hippie movement that could be construed as sexual innuendo. Thanks!

Ha! Best song ever: "Je T’aime, Moi Non Plus" by Serge Gainsbourg. It’s French, but it was actually a huge hit on the American charts in the sixties, and it’s like… borderline porn. Also, I’m pretty sure "I Think We’re Alone Now" by Tommy James and the Shondells could be construed as sexual innuendo.

The sixties were better known for "drug innuendos."

Do you think the Subway "Five Dollar Footlong!" commercial has any innuendo?

April 32010

haha, Gotta admit, it’s a catchy song.

Anyone got the lyrics for this commercial/song? lol

heehee probably

Do these lyrics mean what I think they mean (innuendo)?

April 12010

I don’t know if anyone’s familiar with Breathe Carolina but they have a song called Velvet and I’m pretty sure it’s about a guy watching a girl… you know. Masturbate. He says stuff like "I want you to put on a show," "The way you touch yourself." But then there’s this one line in the chorus and it’s "I just want to witness. Watch you severing that velvet." My interpretation is a little graphic but I was thinking of "velvet" being the girl’s vagina and she’s rubbing it and putting things in it. I just can’t think of what he means by "severing." Does that sound right or could it mean something else?

Here’s all the lyrics if you want to look:
Watch her inhibitions falling to the floor
Notice how you lock the door
What would you love to do
Here in this hotel room together and alone
I want you to put on a show
What would you love to do
What would you love to say
What would you love
Princess I just want a witness
Watch you severing the velvet
I won’t say the word say the word
Ohhhhh
Princess I just want a witness
Watch you severing the velvet
I won’t say the word say the word
Watch you in the mirror the way you touch yourself
Your hips to your fingertips
What would you love to do
Don’t be so impatient
Don’t lose self control
I’ll make the rules up as we go
What would you love to do
What would you love to say
What would you love
Princess I just want a witness
Watch you severing the velvet
I won’t say the word say the word
Ohhhhh
Princess I just want a witness
Watch you severing the velvet
I won’t say the word say the word
Ohhhh
Princess I just want a witness
Watch you slip right out of that dress
I won’t say the word say the word
Ohhoooohhhh
Princess I just want a witness
Watch you severing the velvet
I won’t say the word
Princess I just want a witness
Watch you severing the velvet
I won’t say the word say the word
Ohhh
Princess I just want a witness
Watch you slip right out of that dress
I won’t say the word
No I won’t say the word
No I won’t say the word say the word

looks like it.

Does the song from The Lion King "Hakuna Matata" have innuendo in it?

March 302010

You know Disney; the "Good teenagers take off their clothes" in Aladdin, the Rescue Rangers sex scene (through a fleetingly seen window), the penis in the poster for The Little Mermaid… The Lion King already has the most blatant one with the stardust spelling out "SEX" in the sky!

But is this more innuendo I spy in Hakuna Matata? The lyrics are:

"I’m a sensitive soul though I seem thick-skinned,
And it hurt that my friends never stood downwind
And oh, the shame…" "He was ashamed"
"Thought of changin’ my name…" "What’s in a name?"
"And I got downhearted…" "How did ya feel?"
"Everytime that I…"
"Pumbaa, not in front of the kids!"

The most obvious thing I can think of which fits in with the rhyming scheme and merits that reaction is that he says:

"Oh the shame,
Thought of changing my name;
And I got downhearted
Every time that I came…"

Sure, downhearted rhymes with farted but it’s written in a kind of Limerick style… What do you think?
Kids fart too! Why shouldn’t he say that in front of them? :S
Thank you for your input Mr Bateman (do I spy a psycho?), that’s very insightful. There does seem to be very poignant connection between the "predatory", calculated approach that Scar takes to adversity and Hitler’s totalitarian attitude… :D

It was farted. he is a warthog after all and the visuals support the fart scenario

Can anyone write the lyrics of Moonlight Shadow by M.Oldfield and Innuendo by Queen?

March 282010

Thank you…

Moonlight Shadow

The last that ever she saw him
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
He passed on worried and warning
Carried away by a moonlight shadow.
Lost in a riddle last saturday night
Far away on the other side.
He was caught in the middle of a desperate fight
And she couldn’t find how to push through

The trees that whisper in the evening
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
Sing a song of sorrow and grieving
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
All she saw was a silhouette of a gun
Far away on the other side.
He was shot six times by a man on the run
And she couldn’t find how to push through

I stay
I pray
I see you in heaven far away

I stay
I pray
I see you in heaven one day

Four AM in the morning
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
I watched your vision forming
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
Stars move slowly in the silvery night
Far away on the other side
"Will you come to talk to me this night?"
But she couldn’t find how to push through

I stay
I pray
I see you in heaven far away

I stay
I pray
I see you in heaven one day

Far away on the other side.

Caught in the middle of a hundred and five
The night was heavy but the air was alive
But she couldn’t find how to push through

Carried away by a moonlight shadow
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
Far away on the other side.

Innuendo

While the sun hangs in the sky and the desert has sand
While the waves crash in the sea and meet the land
While there’s a wind and the stars and the rainbow
Till the mountains crumble into the plain

Oh yes we’ll keep on tryin’
Tread that fine line
Oh we’ll keep on tryin yeah
Just passing our time

While we live according to race, colour or creed
While we rule by blind madness and pure greed
Our lives dictated by tradition, superstition, false religion
Through the eons, and on and on

Oh yes we’ll keep on tryin’
We’ll tread that fine line
Oh oh we’ll keep on tryin’
Till the end of time
Till the end of time

Through the sorrow all through our splendour
Don’t take offence at my innuendo

You can be anything you want to be
Just turn yourself into anything you think that you could
ever be
Be free with your tempo be free be free
Surrender your ego be free be free to yourself

Oooh ooh
If there’s a God or any kind of justice under the sky
If there’s a point if there’s a reason to live or die
If there’s an answer to the questions we feel bound to ask
Show yourself – destroy our fears – release your mask

Oh yes we’ll keep on trying
Hey tread that fine line
Yeah we’ll keep on smiling yeah (yeah yeah)
And whatever will be will be
We’ll keep on trying
We’ll just keep on trying
Till the end of time
Till the end of time
Till the end of time
